Who we are and what we are not
Bulk & Business is an independent publisher, published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. We are not Amazon. We are not operated by Amazon, not endorsed by Amazon, and not affiliated with Amazon beyond participating in the Amazon Associates program, which is open to publishers generally.
Nothing on this site is official Amazon communication. Where you need an authoritative answer about your own account, Amazon is the authority, which is why we link to Amazon's own pages on every article.
How we make money
Through the Amazon Associates program. When a reader follows one of our links to Amazon and signs up for an Amazon Business account or a Business Prime membership, Amazon may pay us a commission.
This costs you nothing. The price is identical whether you use our link or navigate to Amazon yourself. Amazon pays the commission from its own marketing budget — nothing is added to your price, and no discount is withheld from you for not using our link.
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Which links are affiliate links
We think readers should be able to tell without guessing, so:
- Every affiliate link on this site routes through
/go/before reaching Amazon. If a link's address starts withbulkbusiness.com/go/, it is an affiliate link. - Every one is labeled
#adwhere it appears, alongside a one-line disclosure — not buried in the footer. - They carry our Amazon tracking tag,
bulkandbusiness-20, which is how Amazon attributes a signup to us. - They are marked
rel="sponsored nofollow"in the page code, which is the standard way of telling search engines a link is commercial.
There are currently 3 affiliate destinations on the whole site: the Amazon Business account signup, Business Prime, and the Business Prime trial. That is all of them.
Everything else is an ordinary link and earns nothing. The Amazon help-center pages we cite throughout our articles, the plan page we verify figures against, and every internal link between our own pages are all uncompensated.
Why you can check that it doesn't skew us
Every affiliate site says commissions do not affect its judgment. It costs nothing to say, so here is what we do instead of asking you to believe it.
We tell people not to buy. Every decision page contains a section naming the readers who should skip the product. See is an Amazon Business account worth it and is Business Prime worth it. Those sections reduce our revenue on purpose.
We keep saying the account is free. The single most profitable thing a site like this could do is let readers assume they need to pay. We state on nearly every page that the Amazon Business account costs nothing and that most of what people upgrade for is already included.
We publish a cancellation guide. How to cancel Business Prime is not what a purely commercial calculation would produce. It is published because readers need it.
We refuse to invent numbers that would help us sell. An impressive-sounding average saving figure would make the case for signing up far more persuasive. Amazon does not publish one, so neither do we. Details on our methodology page.
What we do not disclose, and why
We do not publish the specific amounts Amazon pays us. Commission structures are commercial terms between us and Amazon, they change, and the number is not information a reader needs in order to judge our independence — the four checkable commitments above are.
What matters, and what we do commit to: the existence of the relationship is disclosed on every page carrying an affiliate link, not just here.
Other affiliate relationships
At the time of writing there are none. Amazon Associates is the only affiliate program this site participates in.
If that changes, this page will be updated before any such links appear on the site, and the same labeling rules will apply to them.
