The short answer
There is no application form. Amazon states the Business Credit Account is an invitation only program, that upon Amazon Business registration your account is assessed for eligibility, and that setup instructions are emailed to the administrator if you qualify. Standard terms are 30 days; Business Prime tiers extend them to 45 or 60 days.
"Amazon business net 30 application" is one of the highest intent queries in this category, and almost every page answering it pads out a process that does not exist. We would rather tell you the truth in one paragraph and then spend the page on what is actually useful.
How eligibility really works
Two statements from Amazon, which together settle it:
Business Credit Account is an invitation only program. Upon Amazon Business registration, your account is assessed for eligibility.
When you create your Amazon Business account, we determine if you qualify for Business Credit Account. If your account is eligible, we'll email setup instructions to the account administrator.
The decision point is registration. Not a later application, not a spending threshold you can reach, not a form in Business Settings. Amazon also notes the facility is subject to credit approval.
Amazon does not publish its criteria, and we will not invent them. What we can say is what registration asks for and therefore what is being assessed: a business name and address, a tax identification number, a verifiable business email address and a valid payment method. Registering in the legal entity name with a matching tax ID is the only thing within your control that plausibly bears on it — see verification and approval.
What buying a Business Prime tier does and does not do
This is the expensive misunderstanding, so it is worth a table.
| Plan | Extended Pay by Invoice terms |
|---|---|
| Duo | Not applicable |
| Essentials | Not applicable |
| Small | 45 days |
| Medium | 45 days |
| Enterprise | 60 days |
Note two things most comparison pages get wrong. First, these extend terms on a facility you already hold — they do not create one. Second, Medium is 45 days, not 60; only Enterprise reaches 60. Amazon publishes this table on its About Prime Business help page and nowhere in its marketing.
So a business buying the Small plan purely for 45-day terms, without an invitation to the Business Credit Account, has bought seat headroom it did not need. Check the credit position first. Tier detail on Business Prime plans compared.
Once you are in: the setup
- Register the Amazon Business account properly. Amazon states your account is assessed for Business Credit Account eligibility upon registration. That makes registration the moment that matters — use the legal entity name, the correct tax identification number and a business email address.
- Watch the administrator's inbox. Amazon states that if your account is eligible, it emails setup instructions to the account administrator. If the person who registered has left, that email has nowhere useful to land.
- Choose your Business Credit Account contacts. Amazon recommends choosing an account administrator as the primary contact and a finance user as the secondary. Contacts without finance or administrator permissions cannot access invoices, credit memos, reporting or payment functions.
- Create at least one invoice template. Amazon states an administrator must set up at least one invoice template before the Business Credit Account can be used. Business Settings, then Business Credit Account under Billing & Shipping, then Manage under Invoice Templates.
- Configure the template settings. Name, billing address, invoice frequency (per purchase or monthly), invoice recipient email, and the groups that may buy using it. Create more than one if you have several sites or separate accounts payable teams.
- Set Amazon up as a vendor in your system. Amazon publishes a Supplier Setup Document with check, wire and ACH details including a virtual bank account specific to your customer account, an Amazon Capital Services W9, an Amazon Capital Affirmation Letter, and an ACH direct deposit authorization form.
- Pay to the VBA, never the main bank account. Amazon states explicitly that you should not issue wire or ACH payments to the Wells Fargo main account, but to the Wells Fargo virtual bank account associated with your customer account.
- Reconcile from Business Analytics. Generate the Business Credit Account report for line-item charges and refunds, or the Reconciliation report to compare order and payment history against your records, and download as CSV.
The vendor setup pack
This is the part that saves a fortnight of emails with your accounts payable team. Amazon publishes four documents for setting itself up as a supplier in your system:
- Supplier Setup Document — check, wire and ACH information, including the Amazon Business address, banking information, bank address and the virtual bank account (VBA) specific to your customer account. Amazon describes the VBA as a subaccount of the Wells Fargo account named in the affirmation letter.
- Amazon Capital Services W9 — company address, taxpayer identification number and exemption coding.
- Amazon Capital Affirmation Letter — the official bank letter confirming Amazon's collaboration with Wells Fargo Bank.
- Authorization for Direct Deposit via ACH form — payment information for your financial institution.
And the instruction Amazon gives in bold terms: do not issue wire or ACH payments to the Wells Fargo main account. Pay the VBA associated with your customer account. Payments to the main account are the classic cause of a "we paid it" / "we did not receive it" standoff.
While you wait, or if the invitation never comes
Most small accounts will not be invited, and that is not a failure. What you still have:
- Every other payment method. Amazon lists credit and debit cards from American Express, Visa and Mastercard and more; invoicing; buy now, pay later installments with Affirm; ACH and direct debit; checking accounts; and gift cards.
- Amazon Business cards, which Amazon states earn 3% or 5% back at Amazon.com, Amazon Business, AWS and Whole Foods Market on purchases with an eligible Prime membership, with terms and a cap applying. A card billing cycle is float too — Business Prime versus the Amazon Business cards.
- Full reporting, free, for reconciliation — QuickBooks and accounting integration.
Background on the terms themselves is on Pay by Invoice and net terms, and the document side on invoices and receipts.
