The short answer
Amazon lists 50% off CrowdStrike and 70% off the first year of any Gusto HR and payroll plan on Duo, then free CrowdStrike and 60% off QuickBooks Online Simple Start from Essentials upward. Real offers — but a discount on software you were not buying is not a saving.
Plan comparison pages love these. They convert a boring membership fee into a list of brand names and big percentages, and they are the reason several competitor write-ups claim Business Prime "pays for itself". It might. It depends on facts about your business that no comparison table can know.
What Amazon actually lists
| Offer | First available on | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| CrowdStrike, 50% off | Duo | Endpoint cybersecurity. Amazon states the discount; scope and seat count are set at redemption. |
| CrowdStrike, free | Essentials | Amazon lists "free cybersecurity with CrowdStrike" as an Essentials addition. |
| Gusto, 70% off year one | Duo | HR and payroll. Amazon says any Gusto plan, first year only. |
| QuickBooks Online Simple Start, 60% off | Essentials | Intuit's entry accounting plan, not the full product range. |
| Prime Day Deals, Prime Early Access | All plans | Shopping benefits Amazon lists across every membership plan. |
Note what is not in that table: dollar values. Amazon names the partner and the percentage and stops there. It does not publish which CrowdStrike product, how many endpoints, or for how long. We are not going to fill those in with numbers from the partners' own pricing pages and present the result as an Amazon fact, because the offer terms are set at redemption and could differ.
How to value an offer you did not ask for
There is a single question that resolves this, and it is not "how big is the discount":
Was this line item already in the budget for next year?
If yes, the discount is genuine savings and belongs in your membership arithmetic at its full value. If no, the discount is a reason to spend money you were not spending, and belongs in the arithmetic at zero.
This sounds obvious written down. It is also the exact mistake that plan comparison pages invite when they total up "over $X in member value". A business with no payroll to run does not save 70% on Gusto. It saves nothing on Gusto.
Working through the three offers
CrowdStrike
The most interesting of the three, because it steps from 50% off on Duo to free on Essentials — which is the largest single jump in stated value between those two tiers. Endpoint security is also a line item a growing number of small organizations genuinely have, often driven by a client or insurer requirement rather than by choice.
If you have that requirement, this is the offer most likely to move your decision. If you do not, note that Amazon does not state the covered scope, so "free" should be verified before it goes into a business case.
Gusto
A first-year offer, which caps its value by construction. It is genuinely useful for a business that is about to take on its first employees and has not yet chosen a payroll provider — a narrow but real window. For an established business already running payroll elsewhere, switching providers to capture one discounted year is rarely a good trade.
QuickBooks Online Simple Start
Scoped to Intuit's entry-level plan. If you already run QuickBooks on a higher plan, the offer as stated does not reach you. If you are starting out and Simple Start covers your needs, 60% off the first product you were going to buy anyway is a straightforward win.
There is a practical adjacency here worth flagging: Business Analytics can generate reconciliation reports as CSV for import into your accounting system, which is the part of the QuickBooks story that actually affects your week. That is covered on QuickBooks and accounting integration.
Where the real membership value sits
For most organizations the honest ranking of Business Prime value is:
- Delivery. Used weekly, by everyone, and the reason most members stay. See shipping and delivery.
- Payment terms, if you reach a tier that carries them and Amazon has invited you into the Business Credit Account. See Pay by Invoice and net terms.
- Spend Visibility and Guided Buying, if the organization is large enough for uncontrolled buying to be a real cost. See Spend Visibility and reporting.
- Rewards as a rebate on spend you were making anyway — Prime Business Rewards.
- Member exclusives, valued at whatever they are worth to you, which is often zero and occasionally decisive.
If the first three do not stack up, the partner offers should not be what tips it. The full arithmetic, tier by tier, is on is Business Prime worth it and the fee table is on Business Prime pricing.
